About Me

Raúl Alejandro Mendoza is a filmmaker, broadcaster, and photographer. Raúl received a BA in Media Production with a minor in Mexican American Studies in May of 2021 from the University of Houston. Originally Raúl is from Brownsville, Texas but as of 2018 has been living in Houston, Texas. Raúl has completed four short films with one being a short documentary about his family’s immigrant history named Bloodlines (2018). Recently, Raúl successfully crowdfunded his upcoming LGBTQ+ Latinx drama film, Before I Leave (2021) which he wrote and directed through his startup production company, Cyclops Films.
